About Me.
I have been practicing for twenty years now. I first began doing yoga after our first child was born. It offered a gentle way to exercise and a quiet moment to myself. Since then I have practiced many different styles of yoga but tend to gravitate towards Ashtanga, Yin, Restorative and Vinyasa style yoga. I am now a mother of four children and I regularly practiced yoga throughout my last three pregnancies. The benefits yoga provided for the labour and recovery were endless.
I have a physical education degree, precision nutrition coach, I am a certified personal trainer, yoga therapist and yoga teacher.
I have always had a love for fitness and learning more about how the body works. The principles of yoga make sense. It requires you to move your body in a deliberate and meaningful way, with attention to how your body is positioned and focusing on your breath. What I love most is that it leaves you feeling calm, strong and refreshed. Contrary to popular belief yoga is not just about relaxation it is about empowerment, physical strength and mental focus. I have had the privilege of learning from some amazing teachers and continue to learn everytime I step onto the mat.
